paragliding XC adventure in the Pyrenees

overview of paragliding XC adventure in the Pyrenees

The Pyrenees are a must-visit destination for paragliding enthusiasts, boasting breathtaking landscapes and exceptional conditions that make the region a paradise for XC (cross country) paragliding. This tour visits some of the most iconic sites in the Spanish and French Pyrenees, offering pilots the chance to experience the magic of flying in one of Europe's most spectacular settings. We have eight sites in our repertoire all within driving distance (Áger, Castejon de Sos, Val Louron, Organyá, among others), which maximizes our flying and XC. This trip will leave you changed as a pilot.

These trips are ideal for experienced paragliding pilots wanting to paraglide XC (cross country) in the Pyrenees in a safe, fun, and with a supportive group of pilots. Pilots receive a robust introduction to the Pyrenees, daily XC tasks based on the day's conditions, and pilot debriefs. Pilots are efficiently retrieved along the course of the task.

top sites in the Spanish and French Pyrenees

Of the eight sites in our repertoire, these are the top winners that deliver results.

Castejón de Sos (Spain): Nestled in the heart of the high Pyrenees beneath Mount Aneto, Castejón is a legendary XC hub offering healthy, reliable thermals, vast mountain routes, and high-altitude highway flying.

Organyà (Spain): Famous worldwide for its rock-solid convergence and world-class thermals. Experience dynamic lift along the famous Magic Mountain, where XC meets incredible soaring conditions.

Àger (Spain): The ultimate flatland-and-ridge XC classic. Soar along the magnificent Montsec ridge, track endless thermal lines, and push deep into flatland distance triangles with smooth landings and huge open skies.

Val Louron (France): Launch high above the lush Louron Valley. Experience classic Alpine-Pyrenean transition flying, smooth late-day soarability, and spectacular big-mountain ridge runs.
